Komikku ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you use Komikku, we create an anonymous account for you. If you choose to set a username or display name, we store that information. We do not require an email address or password to use the App.

Photos You Upload

When you create a character, you may upload a photo. This photo is processed by our AI to generate comic-style artwork. Your uploaded photos are stored securely and are only used for character generation within the App.

Content You Create

Comics, stories, and characters you create are stored on our servers. If you choose to publish your comics, they become visible to other users on the Explore page.

Device Information

We collect basic device information such as device type, operating system, and language settings to provide a localized experience and improve the App.

Analytics

We use Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics such as which features you use, screens you visit, and actions you take. This helps us improve the App experience. No personally identifiable information is sent to analytics services.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the App
• To generate AI-powered comic content based on your inputs
• To manage your account, credits, and subscriptions
• To improve the App and develop new features
• To display published comics to other users
• To send transactional communications (e.g., subscription confirmations)

3. AI Processing

Your photos and story inputs are processed using Google Gemini AI to generate comic artwork and stories. This processing happens on our servers. We do not share your photos with any third party other than Google's AI services for the purpose of content generation.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored using the following services:

• Supabase — for account data, content metadata, and authentication
• Cloudflare R2 — for image storage (uploaded photos and generated comics)

All data is stored securely and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers — Google (AI generation), Cloudflare (storage), Supabase (database), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Mixpanel (analytics)
• Other users — only content you explicitly choose to publish
• Law enforcement — if required by law

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Subscription management is handled through RevenueCat.

7. App Tracking Transparency

We request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission on iOS. If you decline, no tracking identifiers will be used for advertising purposes. Your choice does not affect the functionality of the App.

8. Children's Privacy

Komikku is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Unpublish your comics at any time
• Request a copy of your data

10. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the App.
