Terms of Service

Welcome to Komikku. By downloading, installing, or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Komikku is a mobile application that allows users to create AI-generated comics, manga, and webtoons using uploaded photos and text inputs. The App uses artificial intelligence to generate artwork and stories based on user-provided content.

2. Account

When you first open the App, an anonymous account is automatically created for you. You may optionally set a username and display name. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account.

3. Credits & Subscriptions

Credits

Comic generation requires credits. New accounts receive a one-time bonus of free credits. Additional credits can be purchased or earned through subscription plans.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods

Credit Purchases

Credit purchases are one-time, non-refundable transactions. Credits do not expire.

4. User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of the photos you upload and the stories you write. By using the App, you grant Komikku a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process your content through our AI systems for the purpose of generating comics.

Generated Content

Comics generated by the App are created using AI and are provided to you for personal and commercial use. You may share, export, and publish your generated comics.

Published Content

When you publish a comic to the Explore page, you grant other users the right to view your comic within the App. You can unpublish your comics at any time.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload photos of other people without their consent
• Create content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Generate content depicting minors in inappropriate situations
• Use the App to create content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App or its AI systems
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App
• Abuse the credit system or attempt to obtain credits fraudulently

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Content generated by AI may not always be accurate, appropriate, or meet your expectations. We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or suitability of AI-generated content. AI outputs may occasionally produce unexpected or imperfect results.

7. Intellectual Property

The Komikku app, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for content generated by AI or content published by other users

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles.
